The GVCC

The Geelong Veteran Cycling Club has permanent clubrooms at Paraparap, 20 minutes from Geelong. They are located at the intersection of Hendy Main Road and Grassdale Road (Melway map 611 D8). These clubrooms include a meeting room, kitchen, toilets and change room.

Races are conducted on nearly every Sunday morning from mid January to mid December. Club races begin at 9:30am and are a mixture of handicap and scratch races as well as a few time trials each year. Races are run over distances varying from a 20km time trial to 60km handicap races. The club also has approximately six combine races primarily with the Colac club each year. The Stan Howard memorial Road Race is an annual open event conducted in conjunction with the VVCC (Victorian Veteran Cycling Council).

The GVCC is the only veterans cycling club to have a super vets affiliate group. The Geelong Super Vets are members of the GVCC aged 60+ who race nearly every wednesday of the year.
