The Geelong Super Vets was formed in June 1992 when a group of riders aged 60+ from the GVCC decided that they would like to race during the week. The first race was held at Paraparap with seven starters over 35km on June 23rd 1992. Races are open to fit men and women aged 60+ and 55+ respectively. Members have to be a member of a veteran cycling club to ride with the SuperVets.
